Gravity - Best Cinematography Oscar Predictions 2014

Out of all the nominations in every category, I would argue that there is no bigger “sure thing” than Emmanuel Lubezki’s win for the cinematography in Gravity. A victory for Lubezki might be the one thing that makes film snobs lower their raised noses and actually credit the Academy for doing something right. Failure to give the Oscar to Lubezki may cause the film writing community to turn into hockey fans and take to the streets, flipping cars and starting fires. – Alex Carlson
