Gravity - Best Film Editing Oscar Predictions 2014

Gravity seems poised to dominate the technical awards like Cinematography, Visual Effects, and Editing. Wins in each of these categories would be well-deserved and would not be surprising. 12 Years a Slave might be a surprise upset if the film does as well in the technical categories as a I expect it to in the major categories. Christopher Rouse’s style of fast-paced editing is often imitated, but he does it better than anybody, so that might get him some support. – Alex Carlson
