Gravity - Best Visual Effects Oscar Predictions 2014

Another technical category and another almost surefire win for Gravity. It will be interesting to me to see if the Academy nominates The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in this category for visuals that are every bit as good as the big summer blockbusters that will inevitably get a nomination. For some reason the Academy tends to take superhero movies more seriously than movies adapted from young adult fiction. – Alex Carlson
