Somebody put together a fantastic montage of the scenes that feature quotes from AFI’s 100 Movies…100 Movie Quotes. Not all of them are on the list, but it is a great watch for any of you movie fanatics out there.

Did I mention I loathe almost everything about “Forrest Gump”? It’s kind of weird. I hate that movie, but I enjoyed “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” (which had a similar plot and the same screenwriter) a lot. Go figure.
My favorite quotes on the AFI 100 would have to be (in no particular order): “E.T. phone home”, “I coulda been a contender”, “You’re gonna need a bigger boat’, “Shane. Shane. Come back!”, and “Nobody’s perfect” (which is probably the funniest moment I’ve ever seen in a movie). 6 lines from “Casablanca” is ludicrous. The movie was very good, but it didn’t deserve 6 quotes in the top 100.
Also, I don’t know if you’ve seen “4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days”. It’s a Romanian film that won the Palm D’Or at Cannes a few years ago. I just got around to seeing it, and it’s brilliant.
