Criterion Collection Concept Art for the Harry Potter Films

Previews/Trailers

There are numerous blogs dedicated to providing fan-created concept art for future Criterion Collection releases. Many are very impressive, but none have gotten me more excited than the collection designed by Patrick Sullivan on the Potter Criterion tumblr. If the actual Harry Potter DVD art were anything close to this beautiful and featured the special features that Criterion releases are known for, I would buy it no matter what the cost. I particularly love the designs for The Prisoner of Azkaban and The Goblet of Fire. Check them out below and let me know your thoughts in the comments!

MY GOD. I will pray all night so Warner Bros would see this and team up with Criterion to make it all come true.

Same with you, I’d buy it at all cost.

@Patrick – I’m tempted to buy whatever crappy box set Warner Bros. eventually puts out then put the discs in the cases that you designed. So fantastic.

@Brandon Cooley – Since Michael Bay’s “The Rock” got a Criterion Collection release, all rules went out the window. And didn’t “Armageddon” get a Criterion as well?

@Weird Dave – ‘Armageddon’ definitely got a Criterion release. I’m still confused as to why…

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that two Michael Bay movies had a Criterion release. The choices they make is something that I never understood. They’ve had more than 500 releases and they haven’t released Blowup or a single Tarantino movie.
