Dublin Film Critics Circle Picks ‘Drive’ for 2011 Best Film

View the Updated Precursor Charts

The Dublin Film Critics Circle has departed from the numerous American critics groups and chosen some unique winners for their annual awards. Nicholas Winding Refn’s film Drive took home prizes for Best Film, Director, and Actor and their special awards for Irish films went to John Michael McDonagh’s The Guard. The group did not do supporting awards, which is likely the reason that Jessica Chastain took the Best Actress prize. She also took home the group’s Best International Breakthrough prize for several of her performances this year.
