Their discussion of The Hobbit includes Alex’s take on 48 fps and why he feels Peter Jackson’s film might have been the wrong one to introduce the technology. I haven’t decided it yet, many movies still left to watch and many more to review first.
For now, my top 5 looks like this:
1. Zero Dark Thirty
2. Amour
3. Holy Motors
4. Moonrise Kingdom
5. Beasts of the Southern Wild

Late to the game, but my favorite ended up being Seven Psychopaths. It was immensely funny, had some thought to it, and I was attached to all of the characters despite each being “psychopaths” in one way or another.
