‘Inception: The Cobol Job’ Online Comic Prologue

Yahoo! Movies has released an 18-page online comic that works as a prologue to Christopher Nolan’s Inception. Based on the characters from the film the graphic novel is written by comic story-writer Jordan Goldberg and features artwork by Long Vo, Joe Ng, and Crystal Reid.

The comic is presented in a digital comic book format that jumps around from page to page in non-chronological order, giving a good idea as to what we can expect from Inception‘s narrative. The comic is called “Inception: The Cobol Job,” and is centered on Leonardo DiCaprio’s character, Cobb. It tells the story of a dream heist in progress with fantastic artwork and lots of small frames. Having not seen the film I can’t say how well it ties into the beginning of the movie, but it looks very promising.

Head on over to Yahoo! Movies and check it out!

Inception will be in theatres and IMAX in the U.S. this Friday, July 16, 2010.

So is it safe to read it before watching the film? Or is it gonna spoil/ruin something?

  • I can’t say for sure, but considering it is a pro-logue, I think you’re okay to read it.
