Film Misery is dedicated to covering the Awards races year round, but things inevitably ramp up every November. Along with the new design comes an all-new way to cover the Oscars this year that I am very excited about. You may not have noticed, but over the last two weeks I have been revamping the Oscar predictions both on the surface and with the code to make things as easy to navigate as possible. I have also updated several of the pages to be able to keep up with the ever changing awards news and trends.
Here is what you can expect for the rest of the year at Film Misery:
All categories besides the Shorts have now been updated and have been put into a format where they can be adjusted every single week. On Mondays you can check back to see where the predictions have moved based on the past week’s news.
This column has been absent for a few weeks, but it will return later today in a format that I will try to stick with. This will reflect any of the changes to the Oscar prediction pages that have occurred.
This column provides analysis into a specific Oscar race. It will continue to appear on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
This will the films competing in each category based on how many precursor awards and nominations they have received. It is a good indicator on how the Oscar race is shaping up.
Need to know when a major Awards show is taking place or when nominations are announced? Check out our detailed Awards calendar.
Coming later this week a detailed list of movies you should see before the 2012 Oscar Ceremony. This list is based on expected nominations per film.
All of these items can be found by navigating through the menu above. Enjoy the Oscar coverage that is coming your way in 2011 at Film Misery!
