‘Museum’ Beats ‘Terminator’ at the Box Office

In what is probably not really a surprise to anybody, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian beat Terminator Salvation for the top spot at the weekend box office. Negative reviews destroyed Terminator Salvation‘s hopes of a big box office and it came in with an unimpressive $43.01 million, way below many expectations. Star Trek hung on to the number 3 spot pulling in $21.95 million, which brings its total after three weeks to $183.59 million.

My guess for next weekend is that Night of the Museum drops to number two, Star Trek hangs on to number 3 and Up premieres at number one.

  • Terminator was letdown. Lots of action but the storyline wasn’t that fresh.
