Review of the Day:

  • Add one more to the pile of negative reviews for Iron Man 2. This one comes from Mark Adams. [Screen Daily]

Movie Quote of the Day:

  • “There’s not a day goes by I don’t feel regret. Not because I’m in here, or because you think I should. I look back on the way I was then: a young, stupid kid who committed that terrible crime. I want to talk to him. I want to try and talk some sense to him, tell him the way things are. But I can’t. That kid’s long gone and this old man is all that’s left. I got to live with that. Rehabilitated? It’s just a bullshit word. So you go on and stamp your form, sonny, and stop wasting my time. Because to tell you the truth, I don’t give a shit.” — Name the movie?
Yesterday’s Movie: A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

Picture/Video of the Day:

  • Check out a picture and a clip from Woody Allen’s new film You Will Meet a Tall, Dark Stranger to hit theatres this fall. [The Playlist]

  • The quote is from “The Shawshank Redemption” (which I really need to watch again in full).

  • Andrew R.

A 74% rating on Rotten Tomatoes for Iron Man 2 is not negative. That’s a pretty damn good rating.

  • It’s not that good. That merely means that 74% of the reviews have been positive (no matter how slightly positive). I prefer “Metacritic” as an evaluator when deciding which movies to see. If you’re going by “RT”, a score of 85% or above is what I consider to be a “good rating”.

But that’s just me. 74% is by no means bad.
