    Why Amelie did not win the Osar for best cinematagraphy (or best score, foreign film, and screenplay) will always be a mystey. Thankfully he has received two more nominations since then (Harry Potter 6 (should have one for that one too!), A Very Long Engagement), and his work has influenced other cinematographers (Pushing Daisies). I hope that in the near future he will win an Oscar.
