  • Anessa

Quote- Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban!!!!!!

  • Nice work, Anessa! Quinn, Andrew R., and Jose are going to be mad at you. :)

  • Anessa

I know, but hey if they decided to have breakfast while browsing on the internet, like I did, then that’s their fault!

Also that list of Oscar song snubs is so true, especially with Come What May from Moulin Rouge!

  • Jose

When I see that Cowboys & aliens trailer before Harry Potter I am so going to scream “New Bond Movie!”

Toy Story 3 should win best picture, and Alex ABC Family is having a maratgon of Ratatoullie on saturday, are you excited?

  • How about only one song from “Once” and three from “Enchanted”? That was a joke.

  • I’ll let you know Anessa that I let you have that one. I could’ve easily sniped in there and taken it, but I decided to go out for a jog.

As for “Toy Story 3”, I think they’re right to push it as far as they can for Best Picture, but it will really depend on how far. I’d love to see it become the first animated film to win, but I also know there are some just as good live action films that also deserve it. It’s a toss up.

  • Andrew R.

@Anessa-I actually had computer trouble this morning. It fixed itself. Grrr.

Toy Story 3 for a Best Picture WIN? Good luck.

  • Toy Story 3 shouldn’t win best picture. The original Toy Story and Wall-E are the only ones that I would nominate and consider.

  • Quinn

@Anessa – I had something first thing the morning so you win this round. -_-

TOY STORY 3 SHOULD SO WIN BEST PICTURE!! “Up”, should have won last year, “Wall-E” should have won the year before, “Ratatouille”, “The Incredbiles”, “Finding Nemo”, “Toy Story 2″, ” should have been nominated, and Toy Story” should have won IMO.

The list for songs that should have been nominated I agree completely with ESPECIALLY “Come What May” which should have won. Also, all the nominees for Best Original song in 2007 should have been from “Once”, except for maybe like one.

  • Quinn: agree totally on that last point.

I also love “Come What May”. Beautiful song, although I hated the movie with a passion.

  • Hopefully TS3 won’t win.

Disney always get so many songs nominated in the Song category, it’s hideous. Shakira’s beautiful Andean song “Despedida” should have been nominated and The Wrestler.. i mean THE WRESTLER!!!

Accidentaly In Love deserved its nomination IMO.

And another song from Nine should have been nominated last year.

Hopefully this year’s Tangled doesn’t get any nomination or at least no more than one.

  • Quinn

@G1000 – I LOVE “Moulin Rouge” with a passion why on earth did you hate it? Also, I think the nominees for 2007 should have been:

    “Falling Slowly” – Winner
    “If You Want Me”
    “The Hill”
    “When Your Mind’s Made Up”

  • Yeah, those would have been great nominees, apart from “The Hill” (though it’s great, it wasn’t used in full in the movie). Replace is with “Say it To Me Now”, and you’ve got a great list.

As for “Moulin Rouge”, where to start? The insane, hyper-frantic, mad visual look is exhausting. Apart from “Come What May”, there aren’t any original songs. The romance between Sitine and…. sorry, drawing a blank on McGregor’s character name, was completely unbelievable. I think you’ll find, across the board, that “Moulin Rouge” is one of the few genuine “love it or hate it” movies. A lot of people even went so far as to name it one of the best movies of the last decade. Apparently they (and you) saw something I didn’t. Ah, well. To each his/her own.
