Read of the Day:
- Ron Henriques over at Latino Review has posted a…though provoking…article about subtle racism in movie posters. Most of his arguments are completely ridiculous, but kind of funny nonetheless. [Latino Review]
News of the Day:
- Apparently Roland Emmerich, the director famous for blowing up the world, has announced his next film – Anonymous, a thriller based on the theory that William Shakespeare didn’t write his own plays. I’m guessing it’s going to be like a Da Vinci Code wannabe except more stupid. [The Playlist]
Review of the Day:
- Brad Brevet has written up a nice Blu-Ray review of the latest Criterion release, Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding. He gives plenty of good reasons for any film buff to buy the movie. [Rope of Silicon]
Photo of the Day:
- (Above) The telegraph from Gold Diggers of 1935 directed by Busby Berkeley. Wonderful. [Old Hollywood]
Trailer of the Day:
