POLL: What is your favorite Alexander Payne movie?

More than a few critics have called Alexander Payne’s latest film The Descendants the best movie of the prolific director’s career. That is high praise considering that seven years ago his film Sideways was on more critics top ten lists than any other film that year. Phil and I had disagreeing opinions on The Descendants on this week’s podcast, but we both agree that Payne is a fantastic director and his films are worthy of discussion.

It is hard to pick a favorite of his films, considering he has conceivably never missed, but for this week’s poll we are going to ask you to do just that. Vote in the poll below and share the reason for your decision in the comments.

[NOTE: Your comments may be read on next week’s podcast!]

  • Sideways is one of my all time favorites :)

    • Agreed. An amazing film. Hard to see “The Descendants” topping it, although I obviously hope it does.

Election is an outstanding movie. Every performance is excellent and the whole thing holds together really well. I could watch it again and again.
