Streep, Clooney Entertain at the NY Film Critics Circle Awards

Jeff Wells of Hollywood Elsewhere attended the New York Film Critics Circle Awards ceremony last night and he uploaded some fantastic video. First was George Clooney who was in charge of introducing Wes Anderson to accept the Best Animated Feature award. George put some pressure on Wes by saying that the Wes Anderson had revealed to him that he was going to deliver the best acceptance speech the New York Film Critics Circle has ever seen. “You know Wes, there are people who are pretty good at this shit.”

Meryl Streep’s acceptance speech after the jump…

In her speech, Meryl thanks Sony for sending her to real Paris “unlike Fox for The Devil Wears Prada who sent me midtown so I had to pretend.”

How I wish I could have attended this event.
