Ang Lee has cast the lead for his next movie. Itâ€™s an adaptation of Yann Martelâ€™s novel ‘Life of Pi’ which is about a boy who survives 227 days after a shipwreck while stranded on a boat in the Pacific Ocean with a Bengal tiger.
I was amazed and entertained while watching Memento. It’s a perfect fable of a movie. I felt like Nolan sat me down and said “Want to hear a good story? OK, but guess what I’ll tell it backwards and see if you can follow”. Simple as that.
The Hours is one of my favorite movies of all time. It does exactly what I think a great movie should; tell a story, tell it well and elicit a strong reaction from the viewer.
Why has this movie endured? That sparkling dialogue. These conversations about fast food, foot massages, piercings, gold watches, bacon..
